This guidance is for using predictive text on the Samsung Keyboard. You can turn predictive text on or off, remove suggested words and personalise it to suit you.

The more you use predictive text, the better it will become at suggesting your most used words and phrases. Select the app then force stop, after you have force stopped the app go into storage and select clear cache. It does this on anything using the keyboard text messages, facebook, reddit, etc. Go to Settings>Apps once in the apps menu tap the three dots in the upper right-hand corner and tap 'Show system apps' after that has been selected scroll down until you see Samsung Keyboard. I didn't have any of these problems on the S5 using the same keyboard. However it doesn't seem to be all words just certain words it won't remember as it remembers my wife's nickname.įurthermore, it does this really frustrating thing where if I were to type "car" and want to add an "s" to the end of it, I would add the "s" and hit space and it would make the word into "carsaid" not detecting that I'm adding it on to a previous word so it acts as if I were just typing "s" by itself and autocorrecting that to "said" even though it's on the end of another word.
Normally you would just tap and hold a phrase to remove it but for some reason that doesn't seem to work with. It's a link to an adult website (a website which I had never heard of much less visited). I am using the Samsung keyboard just like on my S5 but it will not remember words I have entered!įor example I use "yall" a lot (don't judge me) which will always autocorrect to "yell" despite me hitting the "check" button which, I assumed was supposed to add it to my list of recognized words as it did on the S5. Recently I have noticed a predictive text phrase popping up on my samsung keyboard when I'm typing and I can't remove it like I can other phrases.
